Sweet Corn Seed

      Sweet Corn     Request Information
BODACIOUS 72 Day  (SE)             Very popular hybrid you eat, can or freeze. Versatile, high yielding, can be planted anywhere. 8 inch ear with 20 rows of kernals.
AMBROSIA 72 Day  (SE)             Might be the best tasting, sweetest corn on the market. Bi-color counterpart to Bodacious with an 8" ear & 16 rows of plump, juicy kernals. Stewarts wilt tolerant.
SUGAR BUNS 72 Day (SE)             Truly gourmet flavored sweet corn with 14 rows of yellow kernals on a 7" ear.
INCREDIBLE 83 Day (SE)             Excellent for home garden or fresh market. 9.5" ears and 18 rows of kernals on 8 ft stalk. Wide adapability makes Incredible a popular choice.
DELECTABLE 84 Day (SE)              A great main season bi-color with SE breeding. Good sized ear on a 7 to 8 ft. stalk. Good sized ear on a 7 to 8 ft. tall plant. Good tolerance to Common Rust, Stewarts wilt and Northern Corn Leaf Blight.
We suggest that sweet corn seed be planted in warmer soil. A soil temperature of 65 degrees or warmer is preferred. 1 pound will seed 800 ft. of row, 8-12 lbs per acre depending on seed size.
How sweet is your corn?  Standard sweet corn (SU) is 5-10% sugar, and keeps this sweetness for up to 2 days.  Sugar enhanced (SE) varieties contain 12-20% sugar and last a few more days before the sugar turns back to starch.
